BEST COMMERCIAL FRONTAGE – THE FRANCES BARR CUP

Annually, at the Pilning Flower Show, an award of the Frances Barr Cup is made to a commercial property within the Pilning and Severn Beach Parish boundary, considered to have the best frontage.  This is judged by the Pilning Flower Show Committee, with a presentation of the cup made to the winner at the Flower Show on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The purpose of the competition is to promote and encourage the upkeep and appearance of commercial properties within the Parish.

Only parts of commercial properties visible from a road or public footpath will be judged. Judging will take place in the last two weeks of July. Size of commercial properties should not be a consideration. Best overall commercial properties will be determined by considering the criteria and detail provided below. Commercial properties do not necessarily need to address all of the criteria. Winners of Best Commercial Frontage would not be eligible to win again in the following year.
